Jason R. Snider is a seasoned criminal defence lawyer with over two decades of experience in Alberta’s legal system. Since being called to the bar in 2000, he has dedicated his career exclusively to criminal law, earning a reputation for handling some of the most serious and complex cases in the province.
From 2002 to 2014, Jason served as a Crown Prosecutor, where he prosecuted a wide array of serious offences, including murders, robberies, frauds, sexual assaults, drug trafficking, and break and enters. This prosecutorial background provides him with a unique perspective and strategic advantage in defending clients, as he possesses an in-depth understanding of both sides of the courtroom.
Jason's expertise extends beyond the courtroom; he has served as a search warrant instructor for law enforcement and was a designated agent for the Canadian government in matters involving wiretaps. These roles underscore his comprehensive knowledge of investigative procedures and legal protocols.
In 2014, Jason joined Red Deer Law Group, where he continues to provide dedicated representation to clients facing all levels of criminal and drug-related charges. His practice is marked by a commitment to thorough preparation, strategic defence, and personalized client service.
Jason is also an active member of the legal community, serving as the President of the Central Alberta Bar Society and Vice-president of the Red Deer Criminal Defence Lawyers Association. In this role, he advocates for the rights of the accused and works towards the improvement of the criminal justice system in Alberta.
